Hey Is there a way you can select a few layers in illustrator and then (hypothetically) right click, select 'rename layer (s)' and assign the a name to all the selected layers in one fell swoop? e.g. I have 40 layers I want to rename 'project' but don't want to do this manually. I've found no solution to this and feel like it could be solved

Assoon as you start to do another operation in Illustrator, all automatic vector mask editing is fixed. You can later edit or adjust the vector rectangular mask by targeting the automatically created associated with the image in the found in the Layers Panel. To target (select) the clipping path, click on the
Mergea copy of all visible layers into target layer. Control + Shift + Alt + E. Command + Shift + Option + E. Merge layers. Highlight layers you want to merge, then Control + E. Highlight the layers you want to merge, then Command + E. Move layer to bottom or top. Control + Shift + [ or ] Command + Shift + [ or ] Copy current layer to layer below ChooseFile > Print. Select a printer and PPD file. To print to a file instead of a printer, select Adobe PostScript® File or Adobe PDF. Select Output on the left side of the Print dialog box. For Mode, select either Separations (Host-Based) or In‑RIP Separations. Specify an emulsion, image exposure, and printer resolution for the separations. Ifyou by "selecting Layers" mean highlighting them in the Layers panel, you can just go to the sandwich menu, select Options for Selection and untick Show. This also works for objects. This doesn't work with so-called Selected Art with the blue square indicator to the right in the Layers panel.
